FAQs

When will I receive my Race Pack?

The Race Pack will be available for download from the website by the weekend (24 – 25 September) and information about runners numbers will be e-mailed and posted out starting Friday (23 September). Runners should check their SPAM filters to ensure e-mails from admin@coventry-half.co.uk are not blocked.

How do I enter?

You can enter online or download an application form and post it back to us.

What are the timing arrangements / How do I get my number and information pack?

The Coventry Half Marathon will be timed using Winning Time – timing chips, which automatically record your time when you cross the start and finish line. Individual timing chips will be available for runners to pick up with race numbers and instructions on Saturday 1st October or on the race morning from Millennium Place. More detail will be sent to all registered runners to explain how the pick up will work and how to access all the key event information that you will need to ensure a safe enjoyable, trouble free event for you.
The fun run is not timed.

What are the car parking arrangements for the day?

For information about where you can park your car and parking charges please see our parking map.

Do I get a T-shirt and a medal?

All finishers in the Coventry Half Marathon and fun run event get a finishers’ medal. The entry fee for the Half Marathon does include a Technical T-Shirt for all finishers. You will receive your t-shirt with goody bag at the end of the race.

Can anyone take part in the Fun Run?

Yes, the Fun Run is for absolutely everyone no matter how old or young and no matter how fast or slow. At just under a mile in length, the event is ideal for adults and children alike and the whole family can take part together. You do not need to have children to take part in this event – it is for everyone! You can walk, run, jog or push a buggy or wheelchair – the emphasis is firmly on taking part and having fun! Fancy dress is encouraged for this event.

If you move house before the race, please email us via the contact us portal to notify us of your new address to ensure that your number and final details are sent to the correct address.

Are both events accessible to wheelchair users?

Yes, both the Coventry Half Marathon and Fun Run are open to both unassisted and assisted wheelchair users. However, we recommend that only experienced wheelchair users, or those of a good standard of fitness take part in the Coventry Half Marathon due to the challenging and technical nature of some sections of the course. There will be a separate start for wheelchair users five minutes ahead of the main pack in both events.

What happens if I arrive late for the event?

The Half Marathon main race is due to start at 9.30am. If you arrive after 9.35am, you will not be permitted to join the race.

I am not able to participate in the event, can I transfer my entry to someone else?

Yes you can. Please email us via the contact us page and we can arrange a transfer for you.

Do I have to run for the official charity?

You can run for any charity of your choice or no charity at all. It is up to you. We would recommend that you run for our charity of the year – Sense. Please tick the box on the registration form and they will send you a pack.
