Join the team from Premier Inn Coventry Binley by taking part in this year’s Mercia Mile. Premier Inn’s chosen national charity is WaterAid and the team are promoting this worthwhile cause to all their potential sponsors.
Laura Hinson, General Manager of Premier Inn Binley, Coventry said:
“We are delighted that the communications team at the council and the half marathon have provided us with the opportunity to promote the support of such a worthwhile cause. There are 884 million people in the world who do not have access to safe water, and 4000 children die every day from diarrhoea caused by unclean water and poor sanitation – that’s one child every 20 seconds.
At Premier Inn we want to change this and with water and sanitation being necessities for us all as humans and for our work and customers, supporting WaterAid is a perfect fit. To sponsor us or make a donation please visit: www.justgiving.com/wateraidcoventryhalfmarathon, and indeed if you are taking part in the Half Marathon or Mercia Mile, we urge you to choose Wateraid as your chosen charity and submit your sponsorship through this web link.”
The Mercia Mile run, walk or jog, is to open to people of all ages; whether they want to achieve a personal goal, get fitter or simply have a bit of fun. The Mercia Mile will not only encourage people to run for a good cause, but also encourage people to step outside and stay fit and healthy.
Carl Bainbridge Marketing and Communications Manager for the City Council added:
“We are delighted to welcome Premier Inn to the increasing list of supporters for our annual event. The Mercia Mile offers a great opportunity for people, clubs, companies and the community to take part in a fun event, raise money for their own worthwhile cause and get fit at the same time.
With entry still available for this event on the day, people still have plenty of time to enter and take part in a great Coventry event.”
Mercia Mile entry up until 9.15am on the day.
